Fetal Anomaly & Genetic Scan

Course Description:

This specialized course provides in-depth training in fetal anomaly and genetic ultrasound screening. Participants will learn to perform detailed assessments of fetal anatomy, identify structural and chromosomal anomalies, and interpret key markers associated with genetic disorders. The curriculum emphasizes first- and second-trimester screening, including nuchal translucency, cardiac evaluation, CNS, facial, abdominal, skeletal, and genitourinary assessments. Learners will also develop skills in Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, and accurate reporting, ensuring competency in detecting and monitoring fetal anomalies for clinical decision-making.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Conduct comprehensive fetal anomaly scans, identifying structural abnormalities across organ systems.
• Perform first- and second-trimester genetic screening using markers such as nuchal translucency, nasal bone, and ductus venosus.
• Assess fetal well-being using Doppler studies and biophysical profiles.
• Interpret findings accurately and generate professional ultrasound reports for clinical use.
• Apply standardized scanning protocols while maintaining patient safety and quality assurance.
