Thyroid & Neck Ultrasound

Course Description:

This comprehensive course provides focused training in thyroid and neck ultrasound, equipping participants with the skills to evaluate normal and abnormal thyroid anatomy, parathyroid glands, lymph nodes, and surrounding neck structures. Learners will gain expertise in identifying nodules, cysts, inflammation, and other pathologies, while mastering ultrasound-guided procedures such as fine-needle aspiration (FNA). The course emphasizes proper scanning techniques, image optimization, Doppler assessment, and accurate documentation to support diagnosis and clinical decision-making.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Perform high-quality thyroid and neck ultrasound examinations using standardized protocols.
• Identify normal and pathological features of the thyroid, parathyroid, lymph nodes, and surrounding neck structures.
• Utilize Doppler imaging to assess vascularity and detect abnormalities.
• Interpret findings and generate accurate, clinically relevant ultrasound reports.
• Apply safe, patient-centered scanning techniques, including ultrasound-guided procedures where indicated.
