What is APCA-ARDMS?
- Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement (APCA), the physician-centric council spun out of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- APCA is dedicated to serving physicians and advanced care providers in their enduring commitment to continual learning and providing high-quality and compassionate patient care through ARDMS certification, a globally recognized credential in ultrasound. To date, nearly 21,000 physicians (by 2021) & other practitioners have been welcomed into APCA and obtained their APCA-ARDMS credentials.
What are the Credentials from APCA-ARDMS?
APCA and ARDMS are companion councils, you can hold both APCA and ARDMS certifications/credentials:
RDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
RDCS – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist
RMSK – Registered in Musculoskeletal sonography
RPVI – Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation
How to obtain APCA-ARDMS:
- To obtain ARDMS credentials, you can enrol in our one year DMU-DMUD program and/or ARDMS exam preparation course.
- Graduates after completion of their DMU-DMUD program and/or ARDMS exam preparation course, becomes eligible to sit APCA-ARDMS, who provides RDMS, RDCS, RVT, RMSKS certificates, which are globally recognized credentials in the field of ultrasound.
- Success rate (Passing rate) of our graduates in ARDMS exam is almost 100%, because our curriculum and hands on training follows the curriculum and scanning protocol of ARDMS and Sonography Canada (CARDUP).
- We support our students until success with guidance, advice, monitoring and all other supports.
- Candidates can sit for examination ON-LINE in our Shristy Institute campus.
Course Content:
ARDMS candidate can choose one or more of the following subjects. However, to obtain any ARDMS credential, Sonographic Principles & Instrumentation (SPI) is a must as core subject irrespective of any other subject(s). The subjects that can be chosen are –
- Sonographic Principles & Instrumentation (SPI)
- Abdominal & Small Parts Ultrasound
- Obstetrics and Gynecology Ultrasound
- Neurosonology (Neonatal & Infant Brain)
- Vascular Doppler Sonography (RVT)
- Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSK)
- Adult Echocardiography (RDCS)
- Fetal Echocardiography (RDCS)
- Pediatric Echocardiography
Registration-Enrolments:
This course enrolls new students twice in a year –
- Winter Session – January to December
- Summer Session – July to June
